WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Winfield Police Department say a father killed his four children and their mother in their home in Winfield on Tuesday morning.

Shooter and Five Other People Found Dead Iniside Residence

Authorities said a man identified as 53-year-old Ronald Williams Sr. called police shortly before 9 a.m., saying he had killed his entire family and was about to kill himself.

4 wounded in shooting at unpermitted block party, police say

MEXIA, Texas (KWTX) – An unpermitted block party in Mexia ended in violence early Sunday morning, leaving four people injured by gunfire and resulting in multiple arrests, according to a statement released by the Mexia Police Department.

Texas Department of Public Safety and Mexia police officers responded to the 1200 block of East Palestine Avenue late Saturday night for a disturbance, according to the statement.

Upon arrival, officers found an unpermitted street party of several hundred people blocking the roadway and drinking in public. 

Because the road was not officially closed through city processes, the crowd refused to yield to traffic, causing delayed response times for first responders. Continue reading here.



BRYAN, Texas — Bryan police officers were patrolling the area near the 1200 block of West 17th Street on August 8 around 10:40 p.m. in response to a block party that had formed in a roadway.

Officers heard gunshots in the area and responded to the location where the shots were fire.

Three victims were found at the scene: a 14-year-old male with a life threatening gunshot wound to the torso, a 14-year-old female with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper leg and a 42-year-old female with a life threatening gunshot wound to the buttock. Continue reading here…

PROSPECT HILL, N.C. (WTVD) — Three people were killed, including the shooting suspect, and one person was injured at a home in Caswell County.The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office found the victims after responding just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday to a house on Brooks Road in the Prospect Hill community.

When deputies arrived, they found four adults with gunshot wounds. Authorities said three of the four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the fourth person was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment.

During a Wednesday afternoon news conference, officials said all victims, including the shooter, are members of the same family and the shooting resulted from a domestic disturbance.

Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that left several people injured Thursday morning in Charlottesville. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WWBT) – Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that left several people injured Thursday morning in Charlottesville.

According to police, officers are investigating a shots-fired incident in the area of 5th Street S.W. and 5th Street Station Parkway.

Authorities said several people were injured but have not released how many victims were involved or the extent of their injuries.


Police are asking the public to expect a large law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues.BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in southern Idaho on Saturday afternoon left multiple people dead and others injured, police said. 

The shooter was among the dead, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said in a news conference.

Police were still trying to determine the shooter’s identity and motive.

“We believe the threat to the community is over,”

Hicks said. He added that he did not yet know exactly how many were killed or wounded, and officials were still in the process of notifying next of kin.

“It was a very chaotic scene.”

Before the news conference, Twin Falls County Commissioner Brent Reinke said Sheriff Jack Johnson had told him five people were hurt.


 

The father of a Georgia teenager who carried out a deadly mass shooting at his high school was sentenced to 15 years in prison for second-degree murder and other charges after a jury found him criminally culpable for the attack.

Colin Gray, 55, admitted to providing the assault rifle used by his then-14-year-old son in the September 2024 shooting at Apalachee High School, which killed two students and two teachers.

His son, 16-year-old Colt Gray, pleaded guilty to all 55 counts against him, including murder and aggravated assault. Judge Nicholas Primm sentenced him to life in prison without parole on Tuesday.  Read more at ABCNEWS.COM


SEATTLE (AP) — Police searched for a second suspect Monday after gunfire erupted at a crowded food festival beneath Seattle’s Space Needle, leaving three people dead and four others wounded, including a toddler. Another suspect was arrested earlier.

Investigators believe the two suspects were shooting at each other and, although one remained on the loose, Seattle Assistant Police Chief Tyrone Davis told a news conference Sunday night that there was no ongoing threat to the public.

Police did not have a description of the outstanding suspect, he said.

“We’re still trying to figure this out,” Davis said. Police did not immediately respond to phone and email messages early Monday.

A first court appearance for the person arrested was anticipated Monday afternoon, said Casey McNerthney, a spokesperson for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Continue reading report at APNews.com

At least nine mass shootings erupted over the weekend across the United States, leaving nine people dead and at least 60 wounded, authorities said.

The mass-casualty shootings occurred in Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Arizona, Tennessee, and two in Minnesota.

DENVER – One person died and eight others were injured early Monday morning when shots erupted in the parking lot of a southeast Denver nightclub, police said.

Two groups fought at an unspecified event in Aurora on Sunday afternoon, a confrontation that reignited at an afterparty later that night at the Ultra Lounge nightclub, 9755 E. Hampden Ave., Denver police Chief Ron Thomas said in a news briefing.

Denver officers were already responding to the disturbance when shots were fired on the nightclub’s outdoor patio and in the parking lot, Thomas said. The shooting happened shortly before 12:10 a.m. Monday.

MAUI – A shooting in downtown Houma left three people injured and prompted a large law enforcement response near the site of the annual Juice Fest Sunday, authorities said.

Houma Police Chief Travis Theriot told HTV Houma that officers responded to the intersection of Church and Main streets, and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were taken to area hospitals.

July 19 (UPI) A total of 19 people were injured during early morning mass shootings in entertainment districts in the U.S. cities of Tucson and Minneapolis, authorities said on Sunday, authorities in each city said. .Tucson Police Department officers were on foot patrol in the area around 2 a.m. local time on Sunday when they heard gunfire and ran toward the crowded scene, police spokesman Frank Magos told reporters.There they encountered a male suspect and ordered him to drop his weapon, he said.After repeating the order several times, an officer shot and injured the suspect, who was then hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.Magos described the suspect as a local man whose identity was being withheld.  Continue reading
